Recap:
The Sabres thought they had a golden opportunity when seeing Andre Racicot between the pipes instead of Patrick Roy, but Racicot outplayed Buffalo goaltender Darren Puppa, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-1 in a chippy game at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium.  Brian Bellows scored a hat trick, Eric Desjardins had 3 assists, and Kirk Muller had a goal and 2 assists to lead the Canadien attack.  Andre Racicot made crucial saves, and the only blemish came :10 into the 3rd period when the Sabres came on a quick powerplay rush and Dave Andreychuk scored on a rebound (3) left from a shot from Pat LaFontaine.  Alexander Mogilny had the flu and could not dress for Buffalo.  Montreal extends their unbeaten streak to start the season at 4 games and claims sole possession of first place in the Adams Division.

Recap:
Tampa Bay was simply out-classed on Sunday by the defending Campbell Conference Champions Chicago Blackhawks.  The game was over before it started as Chicago took a 2-0 lead in the first 4 minutes of the game off of Goals by Steve Larmer (2), and newly acquired Christian Ruuttu, who had a goal and 2 assists on the evening.  The story was Chicago's puck possession as well as a lack of offensive push by Tampa Bay.  the Lightning only had 5 shots through 2 periods and only finished with 14, providing Ed Belfour with an easy game.  Mike Hartman broke the shutout for the Lightning with just under 6 minutes remaining in the game.
